Wintering

Wintering.
When nature slows down.
When a layer of snow can change how you see the world.

Wintering gives time to slow down as the world around slows down.
Yet, we still feel the need to rush. The go go go of our society.
Although the world tells us to slow down.

How can we use these weeks of darkness?

Finding community around a kitchen table.
Reflecting alone and together.

How did we set out this year?
What worked out? What didn’t work out?

We are a part of a living system. A lot probably didn’t work out the way we planned it. And that is okay. That is part of complexity.

Always adapting.

How do we want to be?
How do we let go of control? How do we step into trust and let communities build themselves? Communities of life below and above ground.

What is regeneration to us? To our lives, our place, our landscape?

Listen. The landscape knows.

How do we work together with our land – without getting us out of the way?

We are a part.
Reflections. Around a kitchen table.
